Every year Decorex International curates a four-day show for interior design professionals, presenting design, interior products and projects from all over the world. This is a great chance for the whole team to go and see our existing suppliers as well as discover new suppliers and products.
During the Decorex week, many suppliers also release new products and one of the standouts for us was Pinch Design's new table lamp, the Gentle Light. We immediately ordered one, as we know that we will find a place for these gorgeous lights in a future project.
The fair represents so many talented suppliers that is next to impossible to cover everything, so the tip here is to be selective. Go to the suppliers that you know you like and see if they have launched any new products. A couple of suppliers that we use a lot and visited were Mimi Pickard who showed us her latest fabrics, Rose Uniacke, Vaughan and Tamasine Osher - to mention a few.
Afterwards we stopped by McCollin Bryan's stand and looked at their pretty coloured table samples, which are almost sweet like in appearance. We recently used their Coffee Bean and Minty Tables in the Soho Penthouse project that we completed this summer (see images of these in our Interiors section).
We finished our Decorex trip with a moment of calm in the VIP lounge, which Harding & Reed created this year. The room had a mix of mid century furniture and was mainly lit up by multiple table lamps in all colours and sizes. It really did provide an oasis in all the creative hustle and buzzle that is Decorex.
